This is the entire show from start to finish, 16 songs total. This was my first time seeing Frampton live. It was an amazing show! His voice still sounds fabulous, the band is tight, and he has great positive energy. If you have a chance to see him live you definitely should go.

Pour les 50 ans de la station Fip, @theofficialsting entre au Panthéon-CMN le temps d’un concert exclusif. Un temple à la démesure du musicien au presque demi-siècle de carrière.

Sting et le Panthéon-CMN, c’est une rencontre insolite entre deux géants, un télescopage entre patrimoine et culture pop. Quand l’iconique "Message in a Bottle" (1979) résonne sous la voûte vertigineuse du monument, le temps paraît étrangement suspendu. Basse en éternelle complice, le chanteur-musicien britannique se produit en concert privé dans le sanctuaire parisien à l’occasion des 50 ans de la station publique Fip − "un grand honneur" sourit-il. Le rocker gentleman traverse à la vitesse de l’Eurostar sa prodigieuse carrière pour un condensé de son univers depuis Police, groupe phare des années 1980, entre tubes planétaires et succès plus discrets. De sa voix envoûtante, celui que l’expert Bob Geldof a jugé "le plus doué de sa génération" débute sa performance par la lancinante balade "Shape of My Heart", écrite par son ami guitariste Dominic Miller, qui l’accompagne ici, avec Frédéric Renaudin au clavier, Rhani Krija aux percussions et les choristes Sophie Thiam et Othman Coradidi.

Le fringant septuagénaire offre aussi des titres de son nouvel album "The Bridge", dans les bacs le 19 novembre, parmi lesquels le joyeux "If It’s Love", à l’intro facétieusement sifflotée, et "Rushing Water". Extraite de son album "Nothing Like"" the Sun", la chanson "Fragile", hommage à un ingénieur américain tué par les Contras au Nicaragua en 1987, rappelle ensuite les engagements qui n’ont cessé de jalonner son parcours d’électron libre. C’est en raison de ses liens anciens avec la France que Fip a invité Sting, de son vrai nom Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner, fils d’ouvrier des chantiers navals grandi à Newcastle et désormais habitant de Senlis, dans l’Oise. Un an après les attentats du 13 novembre 2015, celui qui a souvent collaboré avec des artistes hexagonaux a aussi été le premier à se produire à nouveau au Bataclan. Il montre une fois encore, avec cette prestation hors norme, toute l’étendue de sa classieuse maîtrise.
